Records
What a company's record holds, and what backs each value.
A record is what we work out about a company from every source that speaks of it. It's the
answer to GET /v1/companies/{domain} and GET /v1/companies/enrich, and the company of a
finished enrichment.
Here is stripe.com's from the sandbox, trimmed to two fields:
{
"domain": "stripe.com",
"entity_id": "18750977-9c51-4444-855e-1e6229897afc",
"resolved_at": "2026-10-10T13:27:47.398776Z",
"industry": {
"value": { "code": 43, "label": "Financial Services" },
"confidence": 0.877,
"as_of": "2026-10-08T01:43:52.589378Z",
"sources": ["website", "wikidata"]
},
"employee_band": {
"value": "5k-10k",
"confidence": 0.3835,
"as_of": "2026-10-10T13:27:46.635920Z",
"sources": ["estimate"]
}
}Fields
Each field sits at the top level, beside domain, entity_id and resolved_at.
value: what we found. Its shape depends on the field, as the reference shows.confidence: 0 to 1, how sure we are of it.as_of: the latest time a source says it held.sources: every source that backs it, strongest first.
A field is null where we don't have a value we'd stand behind. A list field, such as
founders, branches or logos, is a list of these. industries holds every industry the
company could fairly be filed under, with industry first when there is one.
fields=hq_location,industry returns only those fields. domain, entity_id and
resolved_at always come.

Evidence
include=evidence adds up to three of the statements behind each value: the source, the URL
of the page or record, the quote, when it was fetched, and when the source says it held.
"evidence": [
{

]A domain that redirects
A domain whose site now redirects to another, after a rebrand or a merger, gets the record of the company it leads to, under that company's domain.
